Hello.
Does anybody have any idea, how it would be possible to find a base curve for a bunch of surfaces which together makes a pyramid?
This far I have tried to describe/ find a base curve by searching for similar curves to each surface's bounding box's base curve (closest to the ground) by angles close to 0 and 180 degree between BBox's base curve and surface curves. But unfortunately it doesn't work out.
As you can see in the image bellow, there are 4 surfaces which has been split into smaller pieces - to make more regular forms.
For each of these split surfaces I have to find a base curve which isn't possible by angles method described before nor closest to the ground method, because, as you can see in the image, needed base curves (with arrow) are positioned both in highest and lowest points.
Do you have any idea?

What are the base curves? An outline of the lowest edges of the roof?
Yes, by curves I mean outline of the roof's surfaces.
No, not the lowest edges in all cases. Like you can see in the image - the surfaces in Purple color - one of them has a "base curve" as highest edge of the surface.
Sorry I still do not understand what a base curve/outline is.
Imagine, "roof" consists of 4 surfaces (4 colors in image), which are being split into smaller surfaces (triangles and rectangles). Each of these new made surfaces has 3 or 4 edge curves (depends on which figure is it) - these are the curves/outlines.
In each of these new surfaces I need to find which curves are the most parallel to ground. In triangles it is one curve, in rectangles - 2 curves.
After that, in rectangle surface's I pick lowest one as "base curve", but in triangle the only one "parallel" curve stays as "base curve"
As you can see in the image, one of Purple color's triangles is upside - down. So the base curve for that triangle is highest curve - for others lowest.
Unfortunately, this is not what I am looking for. Please check the latest comments, where I describe more what I mean by base curves etc.
