Solving surface self intersections

Hi everybody,
Are there any solution to get self-intersections of a surface? I just need to split the surface at the intersections. It appeared to be a surprisingly complicated task (((There is a component for curves but not for surfaces or breps

Попробуй найти пересечение своей поверхности и какой нибудь плоскости. Получится самопересекающаяся кривая.....

так мне нужны именно линии пересечения поверхности самой себя, чтобы разделить ее в этих местах

An approach: break your surface into smaller surfaces, and then calculate the intersections of the surface segments. Depending on your surface, a place to start could also be making rfegular 'slices' of your surface, for example using a series of parallel vertical planes.

http://www.rhinoscript.org/forum/1/112 - this approach may be of use - offset your surface a small amount and then check if the offset surface intersects the original.
