algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi, this may have a simple explanation: my Grasshopper-extruded surfaces always show the wireframes of surfaces behind them. My Rhino-extruded surfaces (big one in grey) doesn't have this problem. How do I remove these background lines from showing up behind my surfaces? I assume it's a Grasshopper setting but I may be wrong. I've tried all the display modes in Rhino to no avail.
Thanks for any help.

Grasshopper window --> File --> Preferences --> Viewport. From there you can change the default Document Materials so that they are not transparent (drag slider A to 255).
I would advise you against it though, since there is a reason for GH geometry appearing transparent: it doesn't really exist in your drawing until you bake it. So you can easily tell what is baked and what not.
Alternatively you can use a [Custom Preview] component to display any geometry with a material you chose.
Hi Nikos, thank you for the reply. But I do not think this is the problem, as I already have custom preview set up for all geometry seen in the image I posted. Transparency on those has also been set to 255. I'm at a loss to explain this so far. Anyone else have a similar issue?
As you can see in the image below, at lower angles it becomes especially pronounced. Note that most of these lines are the outlines of the buildings behind them. This occurs regardless of the computer I use to load the file.
You are right, I didn't notice that they have various colors.
Looks like a gpu issue but then again why would it happen only on GH geometry?... I am guessing that if you bake the geometry you no longer see the background lines, right?
If you don't mind uploading the file I could test it on the office pc which has a decent gpu and see if this still happens.
