Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Reference_geometry.3dmHi, basicaly, I would like to cut off a set of volumes with surfaces, but I think I'm having a problem with the lists at the end of the script. So I'll try to explain it as clearly as possible, sorry if I don't succeed...

So I have these volumes, following the curve drawn in rhino with orientation following de «normal» of the base curve. Then, I would like these surfaces to trim the tip of the volumes. The surfaces are facing the closest point I positioned in rhino. At the end, I would like the prism volumes to have one face facing the closest point.

For accomplishing that, I placed a rotate 3d component so as to rotating the surface following the closest point. Then, you have a scale component that extends de surface. At the end, I want to trim the prism volumes so that they have the final shape without the trimed part.

In the end, I don't succeed triming the part of the volume I dont want.

Thank you for your time!

My bad! I just add it

Hi,

your reference geometry is still missing but seeing the picture, maybe try flatten the B

Here is the reference geometry

it still fails to reference

I'm sorry, i'm still new on grasshopper and I don't know what you mean by referencing the file. Is there a way to reference the rhino file to the grasshopper one?

Thank you

Hi.

Is this what you want?

And you can internalise referenced geometry by clicking right mouse button on the desired input param and choose "Internalise Data" in the popup.

That's exactly it!

Thank you :)
