Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all;

I have a project to create some loose letters and words as well with a kind of smooth effect, like red one inthe picture attached.
I could get the letters using T-splines , but the thing is that I have many letters to make,,, and I want also to improve my grasshopper skills, so want to learn how to do it with gh and could be a good chance to get deep into kangaroo.
My approach is to create the curve in rhino and then create a bounding surface in grasshopper from it. Convert it into mesh and then try to get a relaxing mesh,,,, Make a grid of points and use the outer ones as an anchor to pull the rest of the mesh up.
the thing is that I've been trying for the last three days with kangaroo, karamba, weavebird, M+ and other plug-ins with no success, as you can see from the meshes I got
I've been checking many tutorials with attractors or relaxing meshes, like this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_Bfmm8y-Ms, but ovbiously I'm doing something wrong.
Does anyone know any tutorial similar of what I'm trying to do to learn how to make those bump shapes ?

I'm also attaching here my gh attempt, please don't laugh about it,,,,, it is one of many ones ;).
Perhaps there's a very easy way to get that, but I'm getting blind by trying so many attemps

Thanks in advance for any comment,

Joan

There are a couple of threads here dealing with this subject, some using Kangaroo and some not.

thanks so much Ethan for the links,,,,,

I'll try to get deep into them during next weekend,,,, it seems both are quite "dense"

Best,

Joan
