Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there,

I am trying to offset multiple joined surfaces. Once surfaces are joined in GH they do not work with the offset component (I presume because the offset component is natively looking for a single surface??), so is it possible to do what I have illustrated in the EG attachment? Really I suppose I am trying to thicken multiple surfaces at once.

As a preference this should remain a surface/brep in GH, not be turned into a mesh...

Does any one know of a solution? Something that works similar? A plugin where this is already done?

Many thanks

Matt

I have managed to 'thicken' lines and a surface so far, limitations are there. Any ideas or does anyone know that this is (for example) a too difficult task to undertake?

The goal is to be able to thicken a double curved, multi-faceted surface into a brep/surface - not a mesh

Any progress?

Sorry no, I haven't looked at this in a while.

Here is the best I've been able to do so far. (thanks to Michael Pryor's "slide along curves")  Haven't been able to figure out a clean rebuild of the offset yet.  Maybe someone else has a solution.
