Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have an autocad drawing with lots of contours. I made a terrain model of it in sketchup. How do I do slope analysis for it in Grasshopper. Moreover, the mesh is triangulated.

I need to show slopes like

0-3% - yellow

3-10% - brown

and as slope increases, the brown colour darkness also increases. This is a reference image. That's exactly how I want to do slope analysis.

Please provide step-by-step procedure or a Grasshopper sample file.

Any script or idea about doing this technique in grasshopper or any other relative plugin would be of great use to me. Kindly help

Hi archz2,

You could look into terrain components in Ladybug of Ladybug Analysis Tools. They can give you colored mesh based on topography. Following is a sample.

Please give me exact step by step procedure. I just installed ladybug now. Are you talking about terrain shading mask that it has?

Hi,

Please find example file attached.

Thanks for the grasshopper file for slope analysis. I am yet unable to understand the procedure.

Kindly give me step by step procedure. I attached a mesh to the "_terrain" point but nothing happens. Please provide step by step information on the output points parameters also.

Could you share your files? I could take a look.

Hi Devang,

Could you explain the way to use the scrip from a terrain mesh?
