Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey,

Up to now, I've preferred to make grid based surfaces with LunchBox, since it's fast and easy. I currently use the diamond panels container to make a dia-grid that is the base for a pyramid panelisation.

It is however limited to be changed only by U and V values.

My goal is to change the direction of the entire grid on a given surface and keep it flexibel with for instance sliders.

The diamond panels shouldn't point into a straight direction over a given surface, but be oriented in a skewed direction.
However, they should remain in their original UV-based panel form and stick to the base surface (or better said form the set surface).

Any ideas how I can accomplish this?

Does nobody know a solution or workaround to this?
The diagram above maybe confusing, since the rotated arrow isn't curved, as it should be.

I'm trying to define a grid direction that doesn't follow the length or depth of the surface object, but rather the lines of the dia-gird above.
In that case, the diamond panels would not point straight along the x- and y-axis but rather in an in-between direction along the surface.
