Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey Everyone, I'm new to Grasshopper, and I'm having trouble trying to simplify my definition.

What I'm trying to do is to create an hexagonal pattern, like the one in the picture I posted. I want to apply this pattern to three different surfaces, each one them is going to be an offset off the previous one.

I need the first surface to have the Big hexagonal pattern, the second surface to have the medium one and the third surface the smaller pattern. Also I need that on each surface, the radius of the hexagons is half of the ones in the previous surface.

If anyone knows a better way of doing this, please do share! Thanks!

its too complicated :D

take a look at triangular grid (vector -> grids). seems to be possible to make each "layer" with 2 grids (one is rotated/mirrored).

of course as these surfaces are planar.

Make sure to use GH 0.8004

Not sure if this is any help.
