algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I have recently been captivated by this type of geometry (Seen in attached picture, and youtube link here: flowing bench link) And have been trying to replicate something similar.
As far as I understand, They use perlin and simplex noise in order to generate the distortions - but I have been having an incredibly hard time getting the same results. The best I have been able to achieve are blobs/clumps that don't respond very well to any input that I have tried.
I was hoping there might be someone who has been able to figure out something like this, and how they went about doing it - with OR without the use of the 4D noise/simplex/perlin noise plugin (found on food4rhino). Is there anyone who can help me with this?
