algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi , I am trying to recreate the definition of the Weave1 from Dragon add-on. Basically being a weave in a single direction( or just ribbons). The reason I am doing it is because I don't have access to the cluster, thus I can't make any modifications of the ribbon shapes.
I am following a manual I found online which is used to create piped weave. However I am encountering some troubles:
1.I can't interpolate the nurbs in order to create vertical bands rathers than horizontal.
2. It seems something went wrong throughout the process because at a certain point the continuous curve gets interrupted, and separated into 2.
3. The following of 2 steps above, would be the creation of the bands, however I can't figure out what do i need to use in order to create the Ribbons.
In the attached files you can see the pdf I am using as reference.
( Just a question out of curiosity, is it possible to use the image sampler to influence the shape of the "weave" or ribbons as it is used in the PDF. I do realize that there is however a difference between reproducing a textile motif (as I perceive it, though I might be wrong) and the designing of a facade, but however, would be cool if there was a way to use a vectorised image to influence on the certain properties on the facade, such as: dimension of the openings, or the shape of the opening.)
THANK YOU beforehand for any kind of information that would help me advance with the definition.

Otherwise, I am looking for creating this. But the explanation is not clear enough in this site.
