algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All:

Need an example of how to handle subtracting or cutting a shape from each face of a polysurface (or an exploded polysurface).  In the attached example, I show a diamond shape, but it could be as simple as a circle.  I am open to different approaches, just looking at possibilities.

Cheers:

Same idea but use the circle component to cut the holes.

Thx Chris.  Both were interesting approaches and I got to play with them to pretty good results.

Thought I'd have a go. This should work with any planar curve and any collection of planar surfaces.

& if you want to extrude..

Done now sorry for taking over your thread :P

Actually, this is probably closer to what I was looking for.  Still both you and Chris have interesting approaches.  THX!!!
