algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Flemming,
I would start by watching the videos related to Honeybee Energy simulation. Here is a similar question.

Hi Mostapha and thanks for answering!
Here is what I did using Chris Mackey's first tutorials on Honeybee energy simulation.
For some reason, the energy simulation doesn't run when I put the toggle to "true", and I cannot figure out what I did wrong..
On the other hand, these very well-made tutorials explain how to model a whole building, but will I be able to model just a square meter of a wall and run the same test like I explained in my message above?
Thanks for your support!
Flemming
I'm not sure what you mean by modeling just a square meter of the wall. If you're trying to study a wall section then you should take a look at THERM. In energy simulation you need a zone to run the analysis. Look up for Getting Started with EnergyPlus document.
Actually I'm trying to figure out the amount of energy loss in each type of wall, by looking at a surface of a given type of wall of 1m².
Then I want to see how the different wall type would behave in a room situation.
I used THERM before, but as you probably know, it's not a dynamic tool so it doesn't take in account the thermal inertia of the wall.
I'm a real newbie in this domain, please forgive me if I give some weird answers or make false statements! :)
