Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I was watching the Dongdaemun design plaza surface paneling and I loved one graphic that indicates where on the surface the paneling is made using simple curvature, double curvature and flat surfaces.

Now, I have a surface that I divided and then I used the deconstruct brep component.  After that I used the surface curvature component to indicate where the surface is really bent.  But now I have to isolate the planes and after this I need somehow to determinate using true or false buleans  where a plane has double curvature, simple and no curvature.

Can anyone help me with suggestions?

Thanks

Mircea

this is an image of the grasshopper file.

My method below is to obtain the edges of each panel and Loft across it in two directions and then test for planarity. If no resulting surfaces are planar then the Panel has Double Curvature. If only one is Planar then Single and both making it a Plane.

Awesome thinking. Your method is great. Thank you for this definition.
