algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi everybody,
I apologize for this probably super-silly inquiry, but... I couldn't find a solution yet.
I've got this very simple file to figure out the angle of a derailleur according to changes in chainrings.
It should actually do exactly what the attached file shows!!!
With one major change: instead of Galapagos waiting for me to press play it should automatically react on a change in the input values of the numeric triggers up left. So far I failed to establish any kind of feedback, tried Octopus, Hoopsnake and GHPython.
It's probably super simple, but currently I am completely stumped. If anyone could give me a solution I'd be super-grateful.
best, Dennis
Ah: And Bumblebee apparently also doesn't work since I am running Office on Mac and Rhino5 under Parallels

Hi Dennis,
Actually, It seems that there is no way to run "Galapagos" or "Octopus" solvers within the ghPython.
But I think you don't even need to do that.
Take a look at the attached file.
Hi Mahdiyar
Well... So... since I am super-new to Rh/Gh, I will need a while to understand what you did to my file.
But as far as I can see... you are my hero of the day. I'm gonna print your picture and hang it up at the ITA ^_^
Thanks a lot - also for making it a nice example of how a file should look like (y)
best, Dns
Ah..haha - so in principle you compute a lot of possible results in the given solution space and then pick out the closest. Great - I see I was trapped in my mindset. Thx for an eyeopener.
