algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

Please, need some help. First thing I am I am trying to shift the points to (unique) various locations(blue points for example) on a outer curve and create parallel line connection to new points opposite.

P.S.  Connecting the intersection points (yellow lines):

Thank you Joseph, I did dig in and learn  from your script, I have continued exploring and have another issue of  extruding the lines- I remember I was using some plug in ages ago, however I cannot find it anymore. I tried extending lines toward the boundaries and offsetting- wonder what is the best way to trim the intersecting lines and be able to extrude them.

p.s. Maybe I should create a new post issue for this as it is something I am stuck with is not relevant anymore

oh remembered i was using voronoi, however it was based on set points, while I have set lines  will try to research of something, but if there any ideas or links to look at please share, thank you in advance. it is actually something i couldnt try myself for weeks. :(

I'm sorry, that just looks terribly wrong to me...  Instead of starting a new thread for every wrinkle (as you see it), perhaps a better description of what you're trying to do would help.

What does this have to do with "sun path roads"?  Any connection to your earlier thread?

Attraction point, difference in height

Thank you for your reply, Joseph. It is not relevant to that post anymore, As I have managed to work around that and create a needed 3D model.

Currently I am trying to create set paths, which will allow more light within the city at certain times.  I have set points of starting paths which go all the way through the city and have them multiplied  in parallel ( so intersections are created)

Next, these lines I tried to offset, join (trim where needed) and extrude to have a complete path.

The space between the paths, I tried to find an average point(center point) insert a offset component to be able to adjust block size.

hmm.. I know it is messy in file, sorry, however trying to understand all by bit.

Are you trying to do something like this?

Yes it is, Joseph, thank you it is.  I will try and investigate how it is working the way you have done it. I will spend some time in understanding this multiplication, as it is a new thing for me. While doing, I will try to extrude the paths  as one Brep and  wholes  extrude with offset parameter to the holes. I will try to do it myself as well to learn more from your script, for now, I really appreciate your help and way of showing how to do same thing more correct way.

This is something I will try to do- extrude the paths  and offset inner openings.

I guess I cannot extrude curves as they are not closed- but I tried to join the curves of paths to boundary (circle) line it is still not extruded, will try to research more. any suggestions, what i do wrong?

Thank you- it is awesome.  I am googling to learn more about your script, what is length list does within this path? i must be missing 'list' meaning in grasshopper .  It is exactly what i was trying to do, thank you. Now i am trying to learn from your script - looking into every single step to work this around. maybe some tutorials of yours are in youtube?  thank you any way. i only wish i would know what i am missing what i didnt manage to get this myself. I must be missing some logic/knowledge/understanding of some components. :)

Yeah, there are quite a few basics of GH that you don't seem to know.  Makes everything a mystery when much of this is fairly simple.  Weird things can happen easily though, like if you try to make the roads wider, 'RUnion' fails.  Bummer!  :(

These "roads" are angled at 0, 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 degrees:

Oh look, 'SUnion' and 'SInt' DO work with wider roads!  Sometimes you gotta do whatever works.
