algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello,

i got a problem shattering curves at a desired point. It seems to shatter in another point than i want to.

thanks in advance

Shattering happens at curve parameters, not at 3d points. You must use the [t] output of the Curve Closest Point component.

thanks david, i tried this before, the problem is i want to shatter at the red points, the cuts the lines at the point that are green in the picture. is that a data tree problem?

Can you simplify that file to have only those curves and points that matter?

yes, davis, of course, thanks a lot for your help!

i attached the simplified file

Yup, the problem is that you reparameterize the curves for the closest point component, but then you use the normalised parameters on the original curve parameterisation in shatter. If you disable that option, I think it works as expected.

hello david and thanks again,

the closest point works right but the shatter still shatters unespected in vertical raws and not random like they are created.

the green points come from the random reduced point cloud and the red are the endpoints of the shattered segments.

thank you that you hve looked over my problem!

i found the soution for my problem,

sorry for explaining my problem that bad.
