Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I currently have to manually separate the list according to number of paths then stream each individually to excel......as shown in image.

Is there a way to format the list with a function so that excel will display the contents of each path in separate columns.

Thank you

Karl

Umm...how are u getting this into excel?
Ya, thats what I was wondering as well.
Try the attached definition. To get it into excel, right click on the text panel and select 'stream content'. Name it something like "data.csv". Open excel. Go to the 'Data' tab and click on the 'Get external data from text' button. Select the file. On the second step of the import wizard select the semicolon as a delimiter. On the dialog window that appears after you click finish, you may want to click on "properties" and deselect "prompt for file name on refresh".

When you change parameters in grasshopper, the "data.csv" file will update in real time. If you want to see the changes in excel, you just need to click the "Refresh all" button under the 'Data' tab.

Hello,

Thank you for responce on this guys...the data comes in to excel following your method.

However I still need the formatting as shown in Image:

With each path holding a number of seperate values. I need to have the same numer
of coloums as paths. With each coloum holding the correct number of values .

Thanks again
