algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Dear Hoppers,
Is it possible to make 5 separate polylines with just one go through the PolyLine Component if I offer the vertices as Coordinate Pairs in 5 different branches?
e.g.
* Coordinate Pair Data for the 5 parts of the pattern ("pttrn1_part01", ..)
* Combined in the data component "Global Pattern 1" (see 5 branches in the param.Viewer)
* I split the seperate leaves up, thanks to the help of Chris Tietjen in forum reference:

* And end up with all the point's x/y coordinates (see "Points on Branches")
Now, only when I flatten this Vertices list, the PolyLine component will work.
But then agin, that's not what I want. (furthermore, the pattern would have visual defects)
FYI, I should add that my coordinate pairs mentioned above will not realy be world coordinates. They will merely act as placeholders for calculated coordinate distances. These calculations will be included between the X/Y Split and the PolyLine component.
Does someone have some suggestions on keeping the polylines branched and seperate?

Indeed, I haven't made much use yet of the tree components. And I'm fairly new to Grasshopper in general, I must admit.
The "Shift Path"s default offset parameter is -1, I see.
Some more studying on my account will clarify on this, one I presume.
Would you have some good references to learn more about the Tree components?
