That doesn't meet one of the conditions, so you can't use that method.
Can you use a closed solid to trim the surfaces? You can use a script with the method "brep.Trim(otherbrep, tolerance)" to keep only inside part.
If its only this many trims, I would say either list item it, or just do it in rhino.
The ultimate goal is to use a genetic algorithm to move the surface boundaries in a search for an optimum centroids location and moment of inertia targets, so it is indeed only a few surfaces, but will be part of a looping process.
I wonder if instead of creating rectangular surfaces and trimming them, Grasshopper has the capability of creating surfaces using intersecting bounding curves a la CurveBoolean?

Yes, but both curves have to be planar.
for future, may be simpler to just state the problem in its entirety at first, rather than adding pieces of new info per comment. You will get the answer you desire faster that way.
