Seismic forces in Karamba

Heyall!

How do you apply earthquake forces using Karamba? I'd be grateful if you can describe it and/or send an example file.

Hi,

at the moment (version 1.1.0) Karamba only offers a very crude method for considering the action of earthquakes: You can add a horizontal component to the gravity load.

Dear Clemens,

I would be grateful if you could please answer the following questions:

1- In order to set a horizontal component to the gravity load, do you know rules of thumb of estimating the earthquakes effects in different geographical locations? In my project I don't really need them to be very accurate because I am simulating structural systems in eraly stage of design.
2- Are there any recent updates available for Karamba regarding earthquake seismic loads?
