this definition is very helpful.
however, there still remain a question.
do you know how to modify the def.
so that the seam is no longer visible?

i see,

i think this has to do mainly with the hexagons you map on your surface, you need to cut at the right plase, or cull the stuff you don't want, so they will meet up right..

PS i'm also working on this problem for my radiolaria project ,but currently out of time to solve it

 

looking forward for your adjustable pattern-hexagon-attractor based-surface :)
