is it possible to create rubikscube  using grasshopper

if yes is it solvable by Galapagos ?

Hi Mohamed,

I sort of doubt it. A solution to a Rubik's Cube is a collection of rotations. The size of this collection is not fixed. It is also not obvious (I think) whether a new position of the cube is an improvement to the previous position in any meaningful sense. Sure, it might have more of the same colour per face, but that is not a guarantee you're closer to the perfect solution.

If I had to venture a guess as to the relationship between Rubik's Cube solvers and Genetic Algorithms, I'd say GA's are best suited in evolving solvers for the Cube. But not Galapagos, you'd need to write a dedicated implementation for this I think.

Thanks David

but how do we know if the GA or other technique is suitable to solve it ?
