Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,
I think I have a problem that Grasshopper rounds off the numbers. I have attached three screendumps. I am using Grasshopper Version 0.6.0038.
Picture RoundingOffProblem2.jpg shows the problem. I have one smooth curve in red for which I want to define the steps per index. Blue curve minus red curve = yellow curve (note that yellow curve is scaled). (see the grasshopper screendump RoundingOffProblem1.jpg where Xposition is the data for the red curve, the shift function is the bleu line and the Minus funtion is the yellow line)
The yellow curve is not a smooth curve anymore. The only reason I can think of is that Grasshopper rounds off the numbers. RoundingOffProblem3.jpg shows that the graph function in grasshopper has a non smooth curve.
Am I wright that this must be a rounding off problem?
How can I solve this?
Cheers, Bas

Have you checked your document's tolerance values? Try adding a few decimal places to the absolute tolerance.
Do you mean document tolerances in Rhino?
yep
I have tried, but it does not change it. See attached screendump.
I think it is in Grasshopper.

Can you post your definition?
I tried to recreate something similar, but I'm not able to reproduce the problem:

mmmm, now I have a problem, as my grasshopper file is confidential.
I will try to rebuild a part of it so I can make this problem public. This might take a while.
Sure. Just remove the part that contains evidence of alien life on earth causing global cooling and 9-11, and I'll take a look at it.
You guess that my project is about alien life is quit correct. :) How do you do that?
Isn't that wavelength the same as the Hydrogen line?
YES! I found the reason. pffff, not easy to find such 'bugs'.
A panel bringing 2 streams together is rounding of the data. See attached file. Cheers Bas
