algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi All,
I'm trying to develop a facade that has some windows rotating depending on their proximity to an attractor curve. I have run into a few problems that I don't know how to solve.
1) I have managed to rotate the windows using one corner of the pane. However, the width of the window remains unchanged so after rotation there is a gap between the glazing and the frame. I am wondering how I could script this so that instead of rotating, the corner points of a window are offset on the y axis, and therefore there is no gap between the glazing and the frame.
2) Is there any way to vary the rotation of the glazing based on proximity to the attractor curve?
3) The lunchbox tool to create the frame is very handy, but it create the firm based on a ratio of the grids x and z dimensions. This means that the vertical and horizontal members may differ. I am wondering if there is a way to develop the frame so that I can control the x,z dimensions independently of the grid size.
I realize this is a lot - but if anyone is looking for a challenge out there, I would appreciate any help you could offer!
