Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Folks,

Just started learning grasshopper a few weeks ago and have some simple questions that just can't figure out.

I am trying to rotate all the rectangles individually on the centroid point towards the attractor point, but can't seem to get the angle right.

hope you guys have a wonderful day. Wish to hear back soon.

Thanks,

J

GH code please?

sorry, forgot to attach.

Geometry is internalized in attached GH file, no need for the Rhino file.

Thanks mate!

Just wondering, why does it need a y unit for reference direction A?

Try using a 'Unit X' or 'Unit Z' vector instead of 'Unit Y' and see what happens.

Being able to specify orientation of both origin and target is very powerful, esp. when arbitrary angles are involved, such as the tangent vector at points on a curve.

And by the way, if the length of the vectors is not the same, 'Orient' will scale the geometry too!!!  Hence the use of 'Unit (Unitize)'.
