Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi there.. i have a little problem..i have a surface divided by "divide surface" command and i would change the direction of u and v subdvision with a vector as reference but i'm not able..how could i do? i've tried orient/orient direction/rotate and also more but nothing..if someone could help me i really appreciate.thanks

Are you trying to swap u and v like you can in rhino?

You might get more help if you provide more of a description for what you are trying to achieve.

the surfaces within grasshopper already have their U and V directions defined. A surface's U length and V length can be retrieved using 'SurfaceAnalysis>Dimensions. Bounds may be an answer to some aspects and gives some flexibility in manipulating this.

From what I know there is only a component to flip normals and not U or V directions, maybe someone else can expand on this. If you're happy to go outside of grasshopper, you can use the swap uv command in rhino and this may be easier. If you need to keep it within grasshopper and bounds/orientate methods aren't working, perhaps rethink how the shape is constructed which will inherently reorientate the u v directions. I would imagine there are some useful components people have made to make uv mapping easier.
