algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
I have a series of rectangular geometries created at certain points which create Fermat Spirals. I would like to rotate these rectangles along the curve so that they 'follow' the sweep of the curve, ie, spiral out and away from the centre as well.
I have included a GH script with one isolated curve as an example. Even learning how to rotate a set of geometries at certain points along an uneven curve would be useful as I could try and apply this to multiple rectangles at once.
Ideally I would like to find a way of interpolating these points into spirals in Grasshopper and then rotating each of the rectangles that lie on this curve along it accordingly. However for now the primary issue is how to rotate anything along an uneven curve so that it 'follows' the sweep of the curve.
Thanks,
Tom

Hello Tom,
you could try the orient component, with initial plane the planes of the rectangles and target planes perpendicular or horizontal frames component along the curve.
cheers

Hi Alex,
I'll give that a go, thank you.
