Roof generator

I am trying to create a script, a kind of roof generator using  a planar boundary and the angle of the roof.

I don't know how to trim the surfaces generated and get the real geometry desired, I tried with split surface but I cant select the curve split with.

Anybody has any idea of how to solve my problem?
