Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi !

I assume everyone have seen such a pic in his grasshopper's life and might've been working on the famous problem of having a good waffle script working.

Inputs : 2 Trimmed Surfaces

Outputs : Ribs to lasercut (with tags because puzzles are fun but ... )

Work in his globality but 1 issue remain : some ribs aren't cutted by the right side :

As I'm getting desesperate, i ask for your kind advices.

As you can see, I cooked up some scripts : one for the ribbing (not modified), my personal contribuation to the ready-to-laserize, one for the tagging.

Thanks by advance for your answers,

Cordially,

Antoine

PS : my objective is to get it working on the 2 surfaces Toit2 & Toit2Bot

PPS : If it doesn't compute, try changing the angle ;)

The tag order is strange, why are they tagged in a random order?

I can't check the files right now, but perhaps the directions of the intersection curves created between the 2 surfaces and the waffle planes are not consistent... this might be causing the flipped ribs on Y3.

Try baking the curves into rhino and then analysing their directions to see if there is a difference on Y3
