Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

While this isn't strictly about grasshopper, I modeled all the geometry with Rhino and the ceiling with Grasshopper. After the modeling was complete, I put all the geometry into Unity3D to build and interactive scene to explain the ceiling movements for the client.

This project is a 10,000 seat multipurpose venue that transforms from 10k to 7k to 4k. It also includes a 10k sports mode where they can host basketball sized sports or smaller.

I thought everyone here might get a kick out of it. I was not able to host the Unity web browser on the grasshopper forum here so I have it hosted on my website (I try to avoid this if possible, sorry!). Check it out below

This is a very effective technique.  I've used it a few times, and clients are always pretty blown away.  Unity makes it so much more straightforward than it used to be.  I used to use something called Renderware in 2001-2002 which was pretty much a nightmare without much documentation for us.  We developed a 3D Browser plugin that took ages because the client had to dl all of the assets.  Given that browsers have come so far since then and that a lot of game engines have much better support for GPUs, we've come a long way baby!

Love the way you implement project options into the UI.  Excellent work all around!

Wonderful.
