algorithmic modeling for Rhino
As the title suggests, Rhino 5 Beta will crash immediately upon any attempt to bake geometry from Grasshopper. I've installed the most recent version of GH, but was having this issue before (so I've been using Rhino 4 instead).
Thanks for any insight.

Hi Nick,
how does it crash? Is there an error message? If so, what's the message? Is there a crash-window? If so, did you submit the crash report?
I can't make it crash here by baking, but then I'm using a much newer version that hasn't been released yet.

Hi David,
Thanks for the response.
It shuts Rhino down completely, just as it would if GH weren't involved. The typical crash report pops up (screen shot attached) - Ive just submitted a report.
Also just a note, I've been testing the issue with a single circle built from a single point, so it's not an inefficient or complex script that's causing it.
As soon as it shows up on my list (assuming it will be detected as a Grasshopper bug) I'll take a deep look at it. It's always best to submit these bugs and always tell us what you were doing when it crashed, it makes it much easier to track down these things.

I also have the same problem. I have GH 0.09.0014 on Rhino5 and it crashes every time I try to "bake". Even when I bake just a line.
I can see your crash report, it's an interesting error message:
"Too many items in the combo box."
It actually sounds like a crash in the Baking window. But the only combobox in that window that is variable is the one listing the Display modes (which probably shouldn't even be there to begin with).
Does it also crash when you just press the Insert button when you have the component selected?

I've just tried again. You are right.
If I press Insert it just bakes without any problem, but when I have selected a component, I press right click and select "Bake", then is when it crashes.
Any idea of why it happens?
No idea yet, though it's clearly a problem with the comboboxes.

Same Problem here (after a complete reinstall of newest (all downloaded today) Rhino 5 90 Day trial & newest Grasshopper)
Maybe this error message will help a bit more to find the bug:
Thanks a lot,
Janosch
