Anybody else having issues with Rhino5 files being excessively heavy for no reason?? my file is at almost 1gb for no reason? I save small all the time but its still huge. Any suggestions?

If you select all, how many objects do you get?

106polysurf 91512surfaces

i know it sounds like alot however in r4 it isnt that huge but onces i open it in r5 it shoots up drastically

How many are you expecting? Are some of these Duplicates?

when I try to make2d it takes tooo long and then if i take it to r4 it doesnt take that long. My friends and I from school have been experiencing these issues

It might be best to post this topic on the http://v5.rhino3d.com/ forum where one of the McNeel  v5 developers can address it.

Obviously the size depends on the complexity of the surfaces. My biggest file yet has about 6000 surfaces and I can't render in V4 because the render mesh will blow the 4GB limit.

You probably have 4 sided planar surfaces. With about 90.000 objects, even small changes in object size will blow the whole structure up. Probably there are some additional fields in R5 to represent the new light extrusions. But as Danny said, the developers surely will know.
