algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Love Rhino for many years, one minor complaint is lack of solid capped entity in creation of Revolve Surfaces using a set of closed planar curves.  No bug, but not optimal functionality.

Now in Gh, it seems worse.  At least in Rh, the Cap Planar Holes command works.  In Gh, neither CapEx nor Cap work with the Gh RevSrf command.  The CapEx command returns no error but alas, returns no caps either.  The Cap command comes back red.  If I bake the output of the Gh RevSrf, then use Rh Cap, there is no problem with the output.

Seems to be a bug in Gh with RevSrf, Cap and/or CapEx.

Also, would anyone else like to see the Revsrf produce a brep closed solid if possible?

Hi Ted, I would say your minor complaint is not justified.
Join your curves before revolving, or join the surfaces after revolving. It will cap just fine.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Pieter for the quick reply.  My minor complaint is with Rhino not having a Revolve command that produces a solid.  The surface model requires extra steps to make a solid.  Same with 'Hopper.  But you are indeed correct that the Gh commands to cap certainly seem to work better with the curves joined prior to revolving and capping.

Thanks again, cheers.
