Revit Freezes after Creating Adaptive Components through Chameleon.

Hi,

After using Chameleon to place hundreds of adaptive components (4 point panels) it finishes, the window disappears, I can see all of the new components it has created, however, Revit seems to be frozen as if it is waiting for me to do something else. Every time I click or press a key it "dings" at me.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this problem? It is frustrating to wait so long and see the components but have to then close the file.

Thanks,

Eric

I've had the same problem, but I don't remember the final solution. Any chance you could share your Rhino, GH, and Revit files?

One thought, are you passing in any additional parameters to the "P0" input of the Chameleon component?

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately due to work restrictions I can't share the files. I am not passing any parameters through the PO Input. Everything seams to run smoothly and the components seem to generate as they should. I just went to my task manager, right clicked revit, clicked "end task" and Revit shows the error shown in the image "Attempted an unsupported operation" which after clicking "close" then allows me to zoom in the model, but nothing else....hmmmm....

How about some screen shots of the data (Panel and Param viewer) you are feeding into Chameleon along with the Adaptive Component (AC) family?

Personally, I'd probably try to break down the problem to isolate it:

1. Create a super-simple Chameleon definition, select just 2 panels (always more than 1) and try to import them. If it works, it has something to do with what you are feeding Chameleon. If not...

2. Try a super simple AC family with just four points and a plane. If that works, you know it's the family. If it still doesn't work...

3. Try your super simple AC family in a brand new Revit project. Then you know it's the project.

Come back here with your test results and we'll see if we can find the source of the problem (or maybe I'll have remembered what caused it on my project).

Good thoughts, I will Run it through the investigative process. Hopefully I turn up some results and can post a solution.

Thanks again
