Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I can't reorient the surfaces correctly, as you can see in the capture.

How can I reorient the surfaces in the plane XY?

thank you

Hello Flavio,

since you input the surfaces in initial plane input of orient, grasshopper auto creates planes for these surfaces, which dont have consistent local axes, like in the photo (red is for local x, green for local y)

you can use is planar component, which check surfaces for planarity and return if true their planes. it happens these are aligned for all thee surfaces.

in cases where the planes are not consistent, you just need to decide where you want all lets x local axes to look and use align plane component, using the vector that describes the x direction you want your planes to have.

best

alex

thank you very much for your clear explanation.

I solved the problem.

b regards,
