algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi, I would like to break down / remap a list of real numbers (as a result from image sampling) into brackets like
>0.16<0.32 becomes a)
0.0- 0.15 becomes b)
=>0.32 and <0.48 becomes C) and so so
any ideas what would be the best way of doing this?
thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter,
Find Domain component should give you a list of domains that a supplied value is in and then use a List Item Component to get an altered list from 3 possibilities.
First post in a while so I hope its right :)
Welcome back Danny !
Thanks Systemiq,
...anything happen while I was gone :)
Hi David,
Long time no write. Small wish for the Consecutive Domain component to have an option to increase the next start by a given amount eg. 0 - 0.16, 0.17 to 0.32 etc.
How was your house hunting?
Danny
Hi Danny,
welcome back. Hope all is well. House hunting should be over, if all goes well we're moving in early June (no tech-support from me that week for sure).
What problem will [0-16, 0.17-0.32, 0.33-0.48] solve?

At present you can give Consecutive Domain component 0,5,10,15,20 and get
0-5, 5-10, 10-15, 15-20
Sometimes I would like to create a series of Domains like this.
0-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19
Where are you moving to?
thanks David / Danny
Have to look into this - on initial test, consecutive domain seems to be jumping one bracket, ie
0.0-0.16 = ok
second one it find is 0.32-0.5 instead of 0.16-0.32
ie. I am feeding a series of numbers into
basically I would like to create sample and image and define a particular value (ie. radius) depending into which bracket the sample point falls and then put a circle with a particualr radius (ie. not a multiplier of the sample value) onto that point ...
thanks again,
Peter
Make sure you don't have the Mass Addition option ticked
