reference external .3dm file in definition

Hello!

Question: is it possible to reference an external 3dm into a grasshopper definition?

The scenario: Me and a colleague are both working on the same project, he does modification on the geometry and I work on the script which analyzes this geometry. Until now he's been doing modifications and I then import into my model and re-reference the brep.

Is there a way to automate this process so that anytime he saves it, my file gets automatically updated?

You could use the work session manager in Rhino.

Attach your colleague's file to yours and then reference the BReps in GH. When they save their file refresh yours. At first it will appear as though GH has lost it's links but If you re attach one of the wires from the BRep component to the next one it will catch on and update all.
