Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all

I have offset a mesh to produce a steel part drawing, but lost the original mesh/surfaces through a dropbox error. Is there an easy way to get back to the original, non-solid meshes or surfaces (i.e. reduce the polysurfaces or poly-meshes to simple planes?)

See file attached.

You will always end up with the top and bottom face, one of which you want to keep and one of which you want to discard. This will almost certainly be a manual operation. You can however get rid of the extrusion faces through Grasshopper. Either filter all faces by area, or by corner count.

Hi David

I've been trying but think this is a bit beyond my Grasshopper capacities. Because some meshes have multiple planes that I want to keep, and some only one, it's hard for me to figure out a way to filter. I've attached a GH definition, would really appreciate any help.
