algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey guys,

A friend and I are trying to create a simple diagrid GH file for use on a broad set of surfaces. We're just about done, but we are trying to figure out an alternate to our current "pipe" extrusion on our curves. We'd like this to be a series of deep beams instead of the circular profile; whats the best way to do this? A rectangular section is what we're after. Sorry if this has been answered before; we found a couple old discussion but were not able to make those solutions work. (We're still pretty new to GH, so they may not necessarily have been wrong, we just couldn't get them to work on this instance).

Pics attached, the surface shown is not the specific one we will use but just a test file.

Thanks,

BC

Jordje! Can't thank you enough, the first one was exactly what I was trying to figure out. For some reason that specific thread did not come up in my discussion search - many thanks!

if you work with meshes this http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/mesh-pipe is also useful.

there is a mesh pipe component with sides, rotation etc as input
