Rectangle Component

On 9.0006 and before, the "Recangle on a Plane" component, worked out of the box

(Default values were preset)

On 9.0012 the "R" Round corners input is blank by default, and has to be set to 0 for a rectangle to show up.

Maybe this was by design, but it seems to me that having R set as zero by default is more intuitive to people new to grasshopper.

Also I noticed some files I made on 9.0012 do not open at school 9.0006...

Is that normal?

I know gh is sensitive to changes in version, but I didn't think 0.0006 would make a difference

: )

PS: Why is gh so delicate about versions?

It is often the case that you cannot open files made with newer version on older versions. New data is often added and sometimes data which is deemed redundant is removed. Forwards compatibility is not something I worry about. Backwards compatibility however is an extremely serious issue and these recent bugs with persistent (internal) data were indeed very bad. Hopefully they're fixed now.
