algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Recreate hutong pattern

Hello again, here's my next project.

I want to recreate the pattern of this hutongs in Beijing. It should be ordered at the sides and the houses align to the roads as in the image.

I just need a general idea to start. My problem is if I use a kind of division, the houses will get distorted and if I distribute them on the area, they overlap.

It doesn't have to be very accuratet, but I want to avoid the described effects.

I'm curious to read your ideas.
