algorithmic modeling for Rhino

rearrange black and white color image to group of shades

 I am trying to divide a black and white image into groups of 10 unique shades. I d like to be able to control the different groups by a type of control points. I am thinking about using "image sampler" to generate the data but I don't know how to separate that data into specific groups of dots representing specific their given shades.

its very basic right now...just an image sampler with a grid and alot of uselles things that ive tried.

grasshopper is very new to me...but i have wanted to try this thing and got stuck.. :/
