read serial port...

Anyone got a script (or script fragment) that will let me read ascii data that is being streamed to the serial port?   I can't seem to get Firefly's 'Read' to work.

Can you provide more detail on why you can't get Firefly to work?  Have you had a chance to open some of the Grasshopper examples that come with the Firefly download (as these are pretty well documented with notes).  Where is the ascii data coming from?  If its coming from a source (other than an Arduino) I might recommend using the Generic Serial Read component.  All you should need to do is open the Sensing example from the download folder and replace the Uno Read component with the Generic Serial Read.  Or post an image of what you want to do and hopefully I can be of some help.
