Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am currently having an issue with sweeping between multiple curves - for the most part, it's working fine, but there are two random curves that are unclosed, and I don't know why, nor how to fix it. Is anyone able to give me any suggestions? it seems a bit odd to me that only two of them wouldn't work?

i have attached a grasshopper file without the loft component as my computer seems to dislike opening it once i add it in - i have also attached a jpeg in case that's easier. any help would be great! many thanks!

Hi Tash Tash,

Easy Peazy Lemon Squeezy: See file attached. You need to make sure the curve is "periodic" (closed).

Also I recommend rebuilding the curves as the offset on surface adds a lot of control points which slows down your computer when you do the loft.

Best,

:-)

An alternative that avoids the computational expense that comes with offsetting curves on a surface uses the planarity of curves derived from your lofted surface...you take the planes, offset them, and cut your surface with them, then loft the cuts.
