algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I try to add some random points into several irregular and planar closed curves, is there some way keep all the points inside those curves? Attached files is what I'v got until now..

Thanks.

Yes there is, if you reparametrize all curves and produce random numbers between 0 and 1 and then evaluate those parameter on the curves.

Cheers

Thanks Evert, but I mean inside the shape not on the curve.
Hi Taylor,

from your files I see that you are creating UVs from the trimmed Planar Srfs but this is giving you UVs from the untrimmed Srfs and therefore not inside your crvs. I would use some thing like the Trim Inclusion component to check if a point is inside your boundary and then select the number you want after you have enough. See definition attached for a better understanding.

well, thanks first Danny, but the problem is, now I got bunch of numbers which are excatly the number I want to put in to those curves, if I use your way, I cannot make sure the result number of points is still keep the original proportion between each curves.
Just put the number into the domain of the sublist (where I have the slider)
ah, sorry, I know what you mean, well, Thanks Danny! :D
