algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out a way of writing a code that can set random points on a surface. However the surface has some holes at certain places. What is the best way doing it?

Thank you

Good news: get this attached (various options/methods around, a bit confusing [as always])

Bad news: it's C#

Ugly news: AFAIK no converter exists.

Tip: Load Rhino file first (for the test breps), use Named Views (GH), trust your Karma.

Thx a lot for your answer and sorry for the late. Adding to those examples, do you have a way for evenly spaced random points in arbitrary space (3D)?

Thank you

Yes I have ... but the first example "does" a similar thing: computes points and then checks if they comply with the "even" (so to speak) condition. The approach for, say, a random box (or a sum of boxes) could be quite the same.

Have you tried the populate geometry component?

Yes, but, I cannot control the distance between the points though....
