algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there in the GH World!

I am new to GH but i Need help in randomly distributing points on a surface already modeled in Rhino, what would be the ideal components and parameters to work with?

Thanks in Advance

I'm sure you could repurpose the solution we came up with in this thread:

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/parameters-for-range-of-r...

that checks random number pairs for a definable minimum distance.. several methods mentioned there. I haven't tried this random num on surface thing here, but as "random" components are in it I'm sure you could make it work with the thing I just mentioned.

what i haven't completely understood yet is: What is "Seed"? it occurs with so many of the tools.
in this particular case, what do the panels "1" and "2" do for the Random function?

David posted a comprehensive explanation _here_.

The seed is the starting point for the random number calculation. Each seed gives you a different sequence of "random" numbers.

To have unique or at least different random numbers in your definition, you need to use different seeds in each random data branch.

thanks! I really need something like these

Thank Manuel
