radiation analysis

Hi,

I just started with grasshopper and ladybug and want to do a radiation analysis for university. The skript I'm using is use by some other students in my course as well and I'm the only one where it's not running.

But i have used several other functions in ladybug which are running fine, so it can't be a installation mistake or anything like that for the whole plugin.

It seems like the Ladybug_SelectedSkyMtx Component is not working as the output of it is 0.

Maybe you know any solution for this problem. The skript is attachted.

Hi Martin, Are you also using the same weather file as everybody else? Can you also update your weather file.

yes, i'm using the same. But i can at least try to download it one more time to be 100% sure.

It can be an issue with genCumSky where genSkyMtx couldn't be downloaded and ran on your system correctly. Try the attached file. I set useOldRes to False so it will regenerate the sky. Once you get it to work you can set it back to True so it doesn't re-calculate the sky every single time.

still nothing. I read in a related article to look up the directory settings, which i did. But maybe I missed one. Is there any directory except C:\ladybug i should check?

Martin, Everything runs fine on my system. Let's try to do it all once again.

1. Go in c:\ladybug and delete remove the folder called GRAZ_AUT (c:\ladybug\GRAZ_AUT)

2. Remove gendaymtx.exe (c:\ladybug\gendaymtx.exe)

3. download gendaymtx from this link and copy it into c:\ladybug: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16228160/GenCumulativeSky/genda...

4. Now open the file and re-run the analysis. A cmd window should pop up. Make sure that you don't close the window while it is running. It will be closed automatically once the analysis is over.
