The Bounds Component will give you the lowest and highest as a domain. you can then decompose the domain.

I described the problem wrong orginally, sorry my fault.  I should have included this screen grab originally:

 

I need to keep the highest item number from each list.  In this case, branch 7 is giving me 4 values while every other one is giving me 2.  I want to be able to resort the list to use items 0 and 3 but not 1 and 2.

The List Item component to get the first and last (reversed List) and then merged back. Or have a look in the Samples section for Micheal Pryor's List SME component
